The onslaught of more and more brief online communique has made decision making and agenda setting nearly impossible digitally. Even though I am technically proficient having spent over 20 years in the tech industry, I keep in mind my audience when I am trying to reach out as it runs the spectrum: simple international texting like Viber (not owned by one of the behemoths…yet…), Messenger with anyone younger than me down to Millenials, phone texting or WhatsApp with Millenials (and those who want to) and Email with everyone else. Yet often even with those various options and there are many more, I send a message for making plans with pretty much anyone younger than myself (which is all one have now as no one answers their phone) and can often wait a day or longer for a reply. I am asking for feedback and the request just seems to go out into the ether, I know people have read it. What is that all about? #oldestoneintheroom #aging #communication
